Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Roleya collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Roleya mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Scope and controller
This Policy applies to personal information processed through the Service. The entity identified as the provider of Roleya in the applicable App Store listing is responsible for that processing and is referred to in this Policy as “Roleya,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, we will request it separately.
2. Information we process
We process only the information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve Roleya. The categories below describe the current Service.

Roleya does not store the precise latitude and longitude submitted for nearby discovery. The server converts coordinates into a coarse area cell before persistence. Other users receive only an approximate range, such as “about 1–3 km,” or a same-city label.
3. How and why we use information
Depending on your location, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent, our legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations. We use information to:
- register and authenticate accounts;
- create profiles and provide city-based and nearby-ranked content;
- store and display posts and images you choose to publish;
- provide likes, profile visits, direct messaging, read receipts, and notifications;
- process reports, hidden content, blocks, and other trust-and-safety controls;
- detect fraud, spam, security threats, and violations of our Terms;
- operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Service; and
- comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and Roleya.
AI-enabled conversations
Some conversation participants may use artificial intelligence to generate replies. When you message an AI-enabled participant, a limited amount of recent conversation context may be sent to a configured model provider to produce the reply. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or inappropriate. Do not include passwords, financial account details, government identification numbers, precise home addresses, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a conversation.
4. Sensitive information
Roleya does not ask you to provide government identification, payment credentials, health records, biometric templates, religious beliefs, political opinions, or similar sensitive information. Location can be sensitive in some jurisdictions, so the nearby feature is permission-based, uses coarse storage, and can be disabled at any time.
You may select “Prefer not to say” for gender. Please do not publish sensitive information about yourself or another person unless you have a lawful and necessary reason to do so.
5. Age requirement
Roleya is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account or provided personal information, contact us through the support channel identified in the applicable App Store listing so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
6. Automatic collection and website data
Our hosting and security providers may automatically receive standard connection data, such as IP address, request time, requested resource, browser or device type, and security signals. We use this data to serve pages, prevent abuse, and maintain availability.
The current Roleya website does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising. The website feedback form is a non-transmitting interface preview: information entered there is validated only in your browser and is not sent to or stored by Roleya.
You can manage browser storage through your browser settings and mobile permissions through iOS Settings. Blocking necessary browser or device functions may affect parts of the Service.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations.

You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. The deletion process removes your account data and owned media from active systems. Limited records may remain in backups or be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Those records are isolated from ordinary product use and deleted when no longer required.
8. Service providers and other disclosures
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may engage service providers that process information only to provide services to Roleya.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect users or the public from harm; to investigate fraud or abuse; with your direction or consent; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.
9. International transfers
Roleya and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, provider security commitments, and data minimization.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encrypted transport, access controls, private media storage, short-lived signed media links, coarse location storage, environment-separated credentials, and monitoring for unauthorized activity.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and account, do not share authentication codes, and report suspected unauthorized access through the official support channel listed for Roleya.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing; obtain a portable copy of certain information; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
Within Roleya, you can:
- change permitted profile information;
- withdraw location or notification permission in iOS Settings;
- disable nearby prioritization and continue using same-city discovery;
- hide content, report content or users, and block accounts;
- delete your own posts; and
- permanently delete your account from Roleya settings.
For requests that cannot be completed in the app, use the official support channel identified in the applicable App Store listing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the Service, technology, or law changes. We will post the revised Policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required or when a change materially affects your rights.
